HIPPA Gives was created to offer medical professionals free HIPAA, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act information including laws, certification, compliance, violations, rules, standards and implementation guidelines.


Kaiser Permanente has donated its Convergent Medical Terminology to the US Department of Health and Human Services and the International Healthcare Terminology Standards Development Organisation (IHTSDO) so that all health care providers- large and small- can benefit from the translation-enabling technology. Stephen Ondra, MD, the US Department of Veterans Affairs' senior policy advisor for health affairs, and John Mattison, MD, chief medical information officer for Kaiser Permanente Southern California, talk about the significance of the announcement in this video. Note: The Kaiser Permanente member or members depicted signed a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act consent waiver regarding their participation in this video.
